There have been 5 major extinction events throughout history, are humans impacting the 6th? Why or why not?

The biologists have been researching and they have been loosing 30,000 species per year. there is little doubt that humans are the direct cause of ecosystem stress and species destruction in the modern world through such activities. The transformation of landscape , overexploration of species, pollution, and the introduction of the alien species are the human activities occuring. Began when the first modern humans began to disperse to different parts of the world about 100,000 years ago. The humans of this world are causes of the sixth extinction because they kill animals that have a large amount species but those species are getting lower and lower. Humans are one of the causes for the extinction becausee the lower the amount of species 30,000 per year.

describe the three types of selections :directional stabilizing and disruptive and give examples

Disruptive selection is the opposite stabilizing selection. In this case, individuals with an average value of the trait are affected most and individuals with values far from the average are affected least. However, the distribution following selection is much narrower, as particularly individuals with extreme values of the monitored trait and this selection is called stabilizing selection. If the population is present under unchanging conditions, there is usually an optimal value of each quantitative trait, for example optimal body length, this is an example of stabilizing selection. Directional selection leads to a change, not only in the average value of a particular trait, but also a change (decrease or increase in size) in the variability of the given trait in the population. A species gradually changes for example organisms either become bigger or smaller.

explain what mircoevoultion is? what are the threee ways variation occurs?

Microevoltion is simply a change in gene frequency within the population. Between one generation the next the frequency of gene pesticide resistance of population of crops pest increase. A change might come of because of natural selction favored the gene. Some nonrestiant genes mutated to the resistant version. There are three ways variation occurs when mutation alter the order bases of the nucleotides in DNA. Mutations are rare amd most mutations are harmful, but in some instances the new alles can be favored by natural selection. This can also happen during meiosis.

why is a fossil record hard to interpret?

There are a lot of reasons why a fossil record is hard to interpret . A fossil record might be hard to interpret because the animal is small. The interpretation is hard because of the painstaking sand that is covering the  fossil. When interpreting a fossil paleoblogists have to find all the fossils of the animal. Sometimes it can be hard to interepret the fossils and sometimes it can be easy. But whenn u interpret a large animal it can take a very long time but it is still hard because u have to make sure that u don't break the fossil. To be no value in interpreting patterns and trends of history of life and that we should except relatively complete record of details of evoluionary transtions within most lineages.

Why is evoultion a theory not a law?

Evolution is a theory not a law because Scientists define evoultion as a change gene pool that population changes over time. This rate of evolution is all that is required to produce the diversity of the living things as common ancestors. The thoery of evolution says that life originated, and evolution proceeds by random chance. Evolution is a thoery not a law because in science a theory is a well explained explanation for some aspect of the world. Evoulion is a well substained fact because it has been observed and it explains the sequence and arrangement of fossil record. As well as scientific thoery descent with modication species share a common ancestor. Theres a fact of evolution that species there is a variation within one kind of animal.

How DNA changed we invetigate crimes?

DNA has changed the way we investigate crimes in many different ways. It changes the way we investigate because now we have to make sure that the victim that your accusing has any relation to the crime. That's why the investigation process has changed because now the investigators have to send in a sample of the DNA to the science lab so that they can test it to see whose blood or hair is it . Now the DNA helps out and finds the person most reasonable for the crime that was committed. The DNA show the exact person or people that committed the crime and it helps the investigators know how to put into jail.  The two main types of DNA testing are Mitochondrial DNA testing and Y Chromosomes testing. Mitochondrial DNA testing can trace maternal ancestry and there are three regions that are tested. The regions are the coding region, HVR1, and HVR2. The Y Chromosomes testing can trace a person's paternal ancestry and the father is the one that passes his Y chromosomes to the son.

My favorite activity that we did for Biology was the fingerprint lab. The fingerprint lab  is my favorite activity because we got to see how many different types of fingerprints are there. Also because is interesting to know what type of fingerprints that u have. To know that each finger of both hands has a different fingerprint types. The least favorite activity that we did in Biology is the kim chee lab. The kim chee looked really disgusting and the smell made me get really grossed out. The one thing that i would change is my understanding of the class and how to do certain things in the notebook that I don't understand that would be the only thing to change.
