why is a fossil record hard to interpret?

There are a lot of reasons why a fossil record is hard to interpret . A fossil record might be hard to interpret because the animal is small. The interpretation is hard because of the painstaking sand that is covering the  fossil. When interpreting a fossil paleoblogists have to find all the fossils of the animal. Sometimes it can be hard to interepret the fossils and sometimes it can be easy. But whenn u interpret a large animal it can take a very long time but it is still hard because u have to make sure that u don't break the fossil. To be no value in interpreting patterns and trends of history of life and that we should except relatively complete record of details of evoluionary transtions within most lineages.
